This years location is in a field along tank mile, its high and dry
even after all the rain. Located at Deer Creek loop adjacent to the Court
House and 203rd MI Battalion. Fortately the Armed Forces Day festivities
will be big this year, post has combined it with their American Heritage
Festival, so there will be a carnival, games, crafts, music, concert etc. The
Armed Forces Day will feature the usual static displays e.g. M41, M60, M1
tanks, half track, Artillery, etc, etc. There will also be dynamic displays
of the Wolverine, Army's newest armored bridge layer, the vehcile will come
up the road lay a bridge, a Bradley with crew will roar across and squad
will come out and preform small unit tactics, firiong blanks. Live fire
on main front is still up in the air, more info to come later.
The rally particpants will have the opportunity to sign up for the trail
ride onto some of the posts test courses. A tour of the 203rd MI Battalion
facilties, wepons and vehciles is also planned for Friday afternoon. The
organization of the Rally is proceeding and promises to be great this year.
Please lets all pray that it will not rain this year, for once! If
amyone has questions they can e-mail me at this address. Aberdeen has lots of
nice motels, camping is allowed on site for partcipants, convenient to
