This has been a problem as long as the hobby as existed. Back about 15
years ago, Mass. collector Harry Roy developed a way around the inherent
problems that go with using 34081 flat paint. He mixed clear enamal,
available from an autobody paint supplier, ( NOT poly varnish! !) in a
50/50% ratio, using toluol as a spraying thinner. This MUST be used as the
mix would come out gloss without it. The toluol acts as a flatning agent.
Harry has restored many prize winning vehicles using this paint, with great
success
I hve this paint on my WLA, and found it grease resistant and washable.
