Tom, from memory (always dangerous) the line from the bottom of the oil
filter goes back into the block via the RH (as you look at them) fuel
pump mounting bolt. This "bolt" is formed on the end of the oil hose
(though I have seen them as separate adapter units) and is, of course,
hollow. Again from memory it is very easy to break, for example by
trying to remove the fuel pump without loosening the slip connector at
the filter, thereby putting 20 turns or so in a short rubber hose.
I've seen varieties where the filter exit is straight, and where it is
a 90 degree elbow, but take your pick. The ORD 9 gives a stock number
of GM -2136146, G - 501- 0407830, 2940 - 00 - 028 - 2611 for CCW,
CCKW and AFKWX
Any use to you? Gordon Falkirk, Scotland.
