As it turns out, my buddy was not aware of the value of the WWII vintage BMW
motorcycles. He had a couple of the K75's and sold them both in the 1970's
for about $800 each. Now, of course, he's kicking himself when he realizes
that today, they apparently go for around $10K to $20K. Thanks to all of you
who replied with advice and information.
