Well, the mystery jeep ended up being a CJ3 with Denmans and an OD dog-box
built into the back. Pretty well-made and same color as the Jeep so please
forgive me for thinking it "genuine-issue". After all, it was nighttime.

I am wondering though, what was were the differences between a CJ3A and B?
This particular truck matches up with a picture of a CJ3B I have, but I
don't have one of an A.
