Question for anyone that knows about the importation of vehicles. Currently a
family member is residing in Warsaw Poland for business. My father. He is
constantly offered military vehicles through private parties and through
companies that at one time built these vehicles for the old communist
governments. Recently he offered to ship home a amphibious armored vehicle
if I could find out how to get it into the country. Apparently a brand new
vehicle was offfered to him for $400 american. Now here is the question. Am
I able to get this vehicle into the country? If so is it as easy as just
shipping it less all the weapons or do I have to go through a government
agency or a dealer? Is there a type of vehicle I can not being into the
country and or types that I can. Did the Russians have Jeeps? If so can
these be brought in fairly easy? Are they worth owning or are they junk? Can
I bring in more than one and sell one to pay for the restoration of my M38A1?
I would love to have this vehicle and I think $400 is not a bad price. I
know I would be the only one on my block with one.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appereciated.
