My advice:
Don't take chances on OLD rubber brake parts. You can usually match up brake lines at
various auto parts suppliers...even NAPA. You probably won't even have to go to a
"classic" source for brake lines. I'd recommend the same for rubber fuel system
parts...get NEW ones. Besides, new fuel system parts should be compatible with the
alcohols, bromides, etc. found in modern petrol.
As to steel brake lines, NOS is fine as long as they're not corroded inside or outside.
If you can't find NOS steel brake or fuel lines, you can have either stainless or standard
OE steel lines custom fabricated (both plain and wire-wrapped lines) at places like
Classic Tubes in New York at 800-TUBES-11 or 716-759-1800. They'll cut, bend, and install
fittings to match your requirements.
