Several years ago, I remember that matching numbers were often mentioned as
selling point for a military vehicle, but I haven't heard much of it lately. I
would suppose
that it adds value to the vehicle, but if the numbers don't match, it won't
detract
from the vehicle that much. It certainly doesn't seem as important with MVs as
it
does with other collector cars. Just to make sure, I thought I would ask the
list to
see what the consensus was.
Also, while looking at a Weasel near Lincoln, NE, I discovered that the owner
also
has an M718 (M151A1 ambulance) for sale. I know virtually nothing about M151s,
but
the vehicle appeared complete and in good shape. It looked as if it hadn't run
in a
while, but neither did it look like it would take much to get it running. If
