Hi Auke, I'd go for the 6V original myself, but I'd also be prepared
to replace the starter, as 6V starters seem to run quite happily on
12V, but then they are very reluctant to go back to 6V. I spoke to
Jaap yesterday (Saturday) at Duxford and he has new 12V generating
sets, just the thing to mount in a reluctant 6v DUKW or Dodge to give
it some starting enthusiasm. (No movement on 36s or VC3 yet) regards
