This is a reply to the those who ran a string regarding LARCs in early
April 97. Somebody was inquiring about a group of LARCS in a junk yard
in Decatur, Ala.
I was in Decatur a couple of weeks ago. The junk yard is owned by
Denbo Iron and Metal Inc.
P.O. Box 1553
Decatur, Alabama 35602
(800) 371-6531
The yard is on Highway 72A inside the city limit of Decatur, south
of the river on
the south side of the road as you are heading out of town. The
company headquarters for the yards is on the north side of the highway.
I was unable to get close to the vehicles, but from what I could
see from the
highway they are restorable, there was no really obvious cancerous
rust, but
fittings are missing and the windshields are broken on others. I have
no idea
as to price or if they are even for sale. Hope this helps.
