Easiest way to tell is from the axe and shovel grooves. These almost always
indicate a military body of some type. Driver's side for the WWII jeeps and
very early CJs, passenger side for the M-38/M-38A1. Nowhere to be found for
most of the CJ series.
But you never know when you've found a jeep salad that happens to include a
military body so check carefully.
