In the last Military Vehicles Magazine, there was an article on refurbishing
old data plates. It involved cleaning them up, spray painting the whole
thing gloss black, then gently sanding with a block and fine paper,
finishing with a clear lacquer. I was skeptical but had an extra set of
M135 data plates, so I tried it out. It actually turned out very well. I
just thought I would pass this on to everyone. Does anybody have a way to
refurbish the newer screened type plates?
