I checked my winch mounting plates. The original one is 1/4" thick. The other
one, I am not sure how original it is, it is quite old and not a civilian
model, is only 3/16" thick. It is not mounted on a jeep at this time but it
still has the winch attached. I quess anything in this range would do the
job.
