[MV] starters goes whizz

whizz,whizz,whizz thats the sound the starter on my m-43 makes everytime
i
try to start it up.eventually it might catch and turn the engine over
but after 5 or 10
minutes of trying i usually give up.i'm going to remove the flywheel
cover and take
a look at the gear engaging the flywheel to see whats up.if the starter
gear teeth are
worn i'll replace it.has anyone had this problem? if so can replacement
parts be
bought at your friendly neighbourhood napa parts dealer? did these
trucks come with
a handcrank?
