Thanks for that forward post about the PBS documentary.
Sunday, 12/7, we met with the film crew at Tobyhana Military post along
with many others from the MVPA Red Ball chapter. We had managed to round
up 10 GMCs in the month's time since you posted the notice. Spent the day
driving past the camera and then waiting until they set up in another
location and then driving by again. All morning of this and in 5" of
snow!
It was a cold 140 mile drive up there and back but it was a neat
opportunity to be filmed for the show.
No compensation other than a "thanks a lot," but that's okay. It'll be
great to see how much and what views of our trucks get used in the film.
They are scheduled to complete the project in February so watch for us on
the Discovery channel sometime after that in "The Machines That Won the
War".
