I am restoring a MBT trailer, with what I think is the serial number,
3685241stamped on the top of the left front frame member. The number
appeared after having the trailer sand blasted. The stamping of the
numbers is about 1/8" high and perfectly aligned with uniform depth
so I don't think that it was done by hand. I have a few questions for
the group. Since the serial plate is missing could this be the serial
number? People that I have talked to say they have never seen a serial
number other than on the serial plate. If this is a serial number what
would be the approximate date of manufacture that I should stamp on
the new serial plate?
