Can anyone tell me where I can get parts for M715? Is there a large
supply?
What price range are they?

Is the M715 engine re-buildable? Can you still buy parts from a local
suppy
house?

This is Al Krason, in Denver, I am on my 3rd M-715, in the last 18
years, I love these M-715's, there are many places to get parts, start
with a subscription to MVPA, Supply Line monthly magazine $30.00/year.
That is an organization that is primarly in to the private ownership
of MILITARY MOTORIZED Machines (all types). You can find it on line
<http://www.mvpa.org>. There are many parts supply places in the mag.

The price seems a little too high, unless it is in very, very good cond.
The going price for a good M-715 should be about $2500-$3500. and
in this condition the tires should be good as well as the drive train
and low milage (no more than 35,000. miles)due to the low gears.
You can get a re-built 230 Tornado for $650 short block, or long used
eng with all stuff on it for $800. from Sam Warner motors, (I can find
the
adress they are back East) and Memphis Equipment, TN,(901-946-1919) I
use the latter for parts they have all parts NOS from the GOV. They
have a nice catalog with a parts & access. Exploded views of how parts
go. Catalog is free, I never had problems with them (I experianced some
problems with the igniter system (distributor mil.)I had the stuff next
day UPS. I would suggest that you should change the eng. because it
is the weakest link in the drive train, if you want confidence that it
will
will not blow a nut(sic.). I am in the process of converting the M-715
in to a DIESEL 6.2 GM. with adapter kit from Advance Adapters, I provide
the engine and the bell housing, fly wheel, clutch, this will give me
good gas milage and the torque to climb Rocky Mountains. I think that if
you
look around some more you will find many M-715's out there. I was
looking
for my last one 3 months, I got my for $5000. but it was a total frame
up
restoration job, all stuff there, with massive PTO winch. I you want
some
more info on the M-715 I know all the tricks.

Al... Good hunting.......
