I found the specs for the civ 302 also and in 1956 it was 160 hp. I wond=

if the military version has lower compression or if they just derated the=
engine. I didn't expect the block to be that different from the civ
version to the military, interesting. You don't happen to know if the 30=

mil engine has hardened valves seats do you? The civy does not according=
to the manual I found.

302. You cannot easily put a mil 302 in a CCKW or DUKW for that matter. G=

a useless you basT*rd boss on the side of the engine where the CCKW/DUKW
starter goes. You literally have to grind the boss down/off to use the
CCKW/DUKW bellhousing. The water pump is different as I recall too. The
M211
starter is mounted lower than the CCKW one.
