I am not sure if I worded my subject here correctly but
basically what I would like to learn is how one can locate the original
drawings and specification call outs that where used by the contractor to
build items for the military. I have a WW2 radio shelter and 1 1/2 ton Chevy
Radio truck that need wood cabinets made for them. I can take a guess at the
dimensions but there are details that I cannot see in old book photos if you
know what I mean. I tried contacting some of the original manufactures of
these items that are still in buisness to this day from advertisements I saw
in trade publications printed during the war. No luck ,the drawings and
related information went into the trash decades ago.
I would think some government agency would have this on
microfisch somewhere. If there is anyone out there who has had to hunt this
sort of information down and was succesful at it...I would really like to
hear from you.
Thankyou
Paul
