[MV] M38A1 German Data Plates

This 1956 M38A1 was brought back from Europe in 1981. Were any of these
units built over there? I was considering replacing the data plates with
English plates, but I'm having second thoughts. Is there anyone out there
who has this? I guess it does add a unique feature to the vehicle.
