Andreas, excellant reasons. May I add what was to me the most important
one was when I was a tanker on a M48. Diesal does not blow up when you
hit a mine!!!! The 44mm 'Dusters' had gas engines. I saw the remains of
one that hit a 20lb. (appr) mine. It burned up first, then ignited the
ammo. Nothing left to salvage.
Make mine diesal.
