First, I want to thank everybody who responded to my WC-51 and Landing Craft
questions. Your aid has proven most valuable.
In response to the query about Nimitz's PT Boat project, the US Navy SeaBees
are on the job. I don't have more information on it at the moment, but will
find out more next week-end.
The Nimitz Museum in Fredericksburg, Texas, has received from Bosnia (via
Brent Mullins) an M-18. More details as I learn about it. It IS operational.
And, NO, I don't believe it is for sale.
Now for some questions:
Are there any operational M-3/M-3A1 Stuart Light Tanks for sale in North
America (preferably the U.S.)? If so, I need the details. No info yet on
finder's fees.
Was there ever a version of the M-37 which had a box (shelter) on the back
instead of the standard bed? ROCO Minitanks has a model of one, and I was
curious if it is based on the real thing, or just a fantasy.
What does the canvas look like for the M-42 Command Vehicle, and was there a
similar version for the WW2 WC-51?
I need an air raid siren (preferably hand-cranked version, like in Black Sheep
Squadron). Anybody have any leads?
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Robert Ratliff
