Double clutching on trucks with synchronised gearboxes is nonsense
and makes more wear to the gear!

All modern truck manufacturers in Europe (Mercedes-Benz, MAN etc.)
highly recommend not to do the double clutch on trucks with
synchronised gearboxes. They make sepcial trainings for older
truck drivers, to teach them not do the double clutch.

It is recommended to shift a synchronized gearbox in one
movement and to wait a moment, keeping some pressure on the
shift stick, until the synchro rings have done their job.
Don't push the shift stick too hard against the synchronisation,
that only makes wear. Push soft and don't release until the
gear is engaged.

Have a look in the driver's manuals of modern trucks, and
you'll read this.

Andreas
