Phase is not tied to a particular voltage. 115v, 3 phase was
everywhere while I was an Aviation Electronics tech in the Navy from
1972-1993when I retired.
NC-8 and NC-10 Aux power units provided 115v 3 phase AC and also 28
VDC.
Avionics work centers were wired to provide that power requirement for
bench hook ups. Public Works and Ground Electronics were two
departments that used portable generators to make sure AIMD and the
flight lines( and others....) had access to that power in emergencies.
If you are using a multi-meter to read your voltage, you may not be
aware there are two ways to take voltage readings
1) any phase to ground = 110-120 VAC
2) phase to phase = 208 VAC
What is the application of the generator in question? I have some USN
manuals I might find something.

Does the US Military use 3 phase generators (480 volts)? If so, does
anyone have an NSN?
