I sold my 1952 M38 today and immediately purchased a 1967 M151A1.
The '151 is mechanically sound it would appear, but needs some minor
body work and then paint. I am consider painting it in the 76-90 NATO
camoflage paint scheme used on my vehicle as a new shavetail 2LT in
the mid-eighties.
Does anyone have a chart/schematic/diagram of how to properly paint
this camoflage along with the correct paint codes/numbers?
The general colors were:
Black
Brown
Sand
Green
Our paint shop at Fort Sill has only the diagrams for the current
Woodland Camo patterns.
It has been awhile since I have seen a NATO camo M151 and when I
was around them everyday, I didn't pay much attention to the color
scheme. I wasn't very interested in any military vehicle then, other than
ones with heaters when it was cold!
Thanks,
Jim Rice
