Multifuel engines can burn kerosene ( diesel #1 ) and jet fuel. They are =
supposed to be able to burn gasoline. Basically the multifuel is a =
medium duty diesel engine designed to be able to burn light fuels like =
gasoline if the diesel supplies run short. Gasoline is pretty hard on =
them though and you have to add engine oil to the gasoline for =
lubrication. I find that I get better results bypassing the density =
compensator on the pump which then makes it a diesel only engine. The =
LDT-465-1C/Ds came out of depot rebuild with the compensator bypassed =
and had a decal which said diesel only.=20
The M35A3 refurbs come with a Cat 3116 motor coupled with an Allison =
automatic transmission. The multifuel has been phased out.
In a nutshell, burn diesel ( kerosene is ok ) in your truck. You will =
like life alot better.
This is of course, my opinion
