I believe these were called "Holden" ambulances presumably after the
company that modified them. In addition to the windshield modification.
The spare was mounted on the hood and a large locker was built into the
passenger side of the jeep taking the place of the passenger seat area.
I presume they would be quite rare, I have never heard of one in a
collectors hands. these are quite different than other jeep ambulances
in that they were a "program" to modify jeeps to a certain type of
ambulance. Leave it to the Marines to always have something different!
