Removing brake drums on 3/4 ton Dodges is not a big deal in principle.
Remove 3 large flat head screws (1/4 -20 or 5/16 - 18 I believe). It may
require some heat to break them free. I have had to drill the heads off on
a couple of them. They proved to be rusted to the drum and the remainder
of the screw turned out of the hub easily after the drum was off. Once the
retaining screws are out adjust the shoes as far in as possible. Finally,
the face of the drum is drilled and tapped for three screws to push off the
drum (3/8-16 I believe). Turn them in evenly and the drum will soon be on
the floor. New shoes are getting a little scarce and expensive but yours
can probably be relined. Don't forget to replace those inboard bearing
seals. Last time my brakes got obnoxious it was an inboard seal drooling
on shoes.
