Well OK, it was a 1.5 ton Chevy that I bought at Malaecheck (?) in NJ in 1988.
I dragged it around the yard till all the wheels decided to turn then we took
all the wheels off of it and set it on planks. A car hauler came in and pulled
it up from the back end. We then backed the car hauler up to a 28' Ryder rental
truck and slid it in on the brake drums. It actually was a little too tall to
go thru the door, but by tilting the ramp truck we got it in. I took wooden
chock blocks and nailed them to the wooden floor.
It was quite an interesting ride home to NH... My truck driver friend refused
to drive it. It rode like an old 50's Buick, kinda floated...
