[MV] Mystery Dodge

I took a look at a Dodge truck or more correctly the remains of one. The
owner advertised it as a 47 Power Wagon with dual rear tires. What I saw
was a cab and chasis for a 1/2 ton WC series truck. When I tired to
explain it to him he showed me a tag that had the Dodge Brothers name
and logo with model VH-47 stamped on it. Hence the owners listing it as
a 47 Power Wagon. My guess is that someone swapped cabs at some time in
this trucks life. Can anyone shed light on this, to borrow a phrase,
'Dodge salad'?
