I agree totally with Jim Rice . . . and like him have seen a lot of
vehicles missing the oil filter assembly and the ports plugged off. I put
back the orgianal assembly which is correct for the model. As Jim says
some filter is better than old used oil not to mention all the other junk
oil collects going through the engine at normal oil pressure.
