I am sure some of you are aware of the correct spot to look for the vin
number, but for those of you who don't, here's the answer to Bobby Joe's
question. The tag on the cowl is actually a body number tag and not the vin.
Every Dodge had the serial number stamped in the left front frame rail in 1/2
to 5/8" numbers. It is located just ahead of the steering gear. The multi
layer paint scheme may have to be removed, but it is there.
