However, why would anybody register a vehicle for $5.00/yr if it isn't
taken on the road. Here in the midwest, if you don't take a vehicle on
the road, you don't have to pay anybody for anything other than perhaps a=
title transfer and sales tax if you want to keep the title clean. If you
don't retitle a vehicle since you are going to only off road it anyway,
then you can put off transferring the title until you want to and you wil=

have to pay a penalty of $5.00. Is the $5.00 registration so that you c=

drive on public lands off road?? Do the farmers out there have to regist=
er
their tractors to plow their fields? =
