Hello!
I just wanted to thank the list member who suggested that one of the other
list members shoudl buy The Standard Catalog of US Military Vehicles. I
found the book for sale on Amazon.com for $20 and ordered it ASAP. It's a
really good book, especially for someone like me who is a beginner in the
MV area. It tells a history of all the US vehicles from around the '40's
through the '60's and breaks them down into tonnage classes. It also gives
typical prices and the grade of vehicle that would get that amount of $$.
It also gives identifying "VIN" numbers and such, as well as engines info
and gear ratios. If you haven't checked it out, I think it is a great
reference for anyone in this hobby.
Thank you for reading my opinion of the book. I can now answer some
questions about MV's, because I can just look in my handy book!! See ya!
