[MV] M-151 in gov't service

Hi Guys!

Just thought I'd drop everyone a note and let them know that the U.S. Army
still has M-151's in service. I saw several being used today (March 29, 1998)
as escort vehicles for a bona fide military convoy. I know, because I
followed them for about three hours. They finally entered a supply "base"
just north of Fort Worth. I was forced to leave them there because I am not
authorized personnel.

Anyway, there were two lead vehicles with yellow flashing lights, and two
trail vehicles with blue flashing lights.

All vehicles (including the M-151's) were painted in the Army's current 3
color paint scheme.

Anybody know if the M-151 is making a comeback, or is this just an isolated
thing?
