Hi List and mbjeeper
I have found parts fairly cheaply for my WC and M-37 by rooting through
the parts catalogs at my local auto parts stores. Depending on who is behind
the counter, I find that if I ask, they let me do my own research and then
give them the numbers i find so that they can determine availability. Any 6
volt neg ground regulator should work fine, right?? If you have to splice a
different connector on, so what - if it's your daily driver and you can undo
it easily later for authenticity purposes. Anything that is not a military-
only part is avaiilable over the counter if you spend a little time. For
example, after being told four times by three different stores that I couldn't
get a waterpump from them, I showed them the pump in their own book (very
politely) and they ordered it for me for $38. Same thing with the oilpump,
clutch assy, etc. Another terriffic source is Kanter Auto products,
1-800-526-1096 or http://www.kanter.com regulators there are $35 to
$45. Tell them Mike sent you and maybe next time I rebuild a Dodge 230 I will
get a discount!!
Just 'cause the guy at the parts counter tells you you can't doesn't
mean you can't.........Right?? Mike ( Is mbjeeper
your first or last name??)
