I just receuived a nice repro rear seat from Bensingers about two weeks
ago. What mounting hardware do I need? I know there are the two hooks
that attach to the crossmember on the rear panel, but is anything below
that attaches to the seat bottom? My parts manual is with my mechanic
now, so I can't just look it up.Also, where can I get these parts--I s
aw Army Jeep parts has a listing for a W/O rear seat mounting kit, with
8 parts.
Second question: I am mounting ford script tires on 16" CJ/M-38 style
rims. I saw in an ad for tires "rubber flaps to replace those pesky
metal ones." What are they talking about? Do I need these?
As for my jeep, it is coming along--the engine is done, although my
mechanic is fighting with the machine shop since they went 250% over
their quote. I think he'll get it resolved satisfactorily, but it's
still apain. He should have her running by May, and I'll get my first
drive around then. My body parts collecting is drawing to a close (at
least what I need to get the body work done), so I am still hoping to
have a decent jeep by fall.
Thanks in advance. Tim
