List,
I used to drive my truck to work every day. Recently my transmission died
on me. I contacted that person I bought the truck from and he said that it
was just replaced 2 years ago.
My question is , "is 5.86 too low for every day driving? (max speed
50mph)." I want my truck to perform off road and still be able to get me to
work. I've thought this over myself and it seems like the best option is
bigger tires. This would allow me to drive at decent speeds and still have
performance off-road.
Another option I considered is regearing to 4.56. The draw back I see with
this is that I would loose some performance off road, but how much?
I have a 68 M-715 with a 327 and a 350 turbo trans. I've got locking hubs
in the front, a custom hard top, custom headers, diamond plated steel
bedliner, and etc.
I would like to know what you guys think?

P.S. is anyone else having cabin suspension problems?
