I think that it would be acceptable to add chains and locks for security. On
the M151s we had in Vietnam, there was a motor pool added cable welded to the
dash which was long enough to wrap around a steering wheel spoke. We also had
hasps welded to the gas cap and an ammo box with lock bolted to the floor
between the seats. Some M151s also had a loop welded to the emergency brake
lever so that it could be locked. Somewhere on the list we have given a name
to these types of standard motor pool modifications.
