I agree that electric winches are running third place in a 3-way race, but as for the military not using them, can anyone confirm that the military "Hummer" is equipped with an electric winch? I heard that the performance was so bad they are being retrofitted with a pto winch. (I may be 'way off here, because my source is not very reliable in my estimation).
