A few simple questions on older vehicles.
1. What does one do for oil filters(air also) on older MVs ala MBs,M37,M3=
8
etc...?
Years ago my dad had a 48 Willys that he used TP rolls in for oil filters=
,
seemed to work. (Single ply white, non quilted or scented) As I recall m=
y
old 67 Chevy had the hard can filter holder and I think someone was selli=
ng
a conversion to the spin offs as used today. Is there such a device for
MVs ?
2. Radiator mix.
Again back in the dark ages I recall that my old car called for a 50/50
H2O/Prestone mix. What is spec for MVs of M37,M38 vintage. (Yeah before=
I
get something I will get the "book" but....) =
3. I recall seeing mention in the MV mag that some of the older MVs had n=
o
turn signals and a temporary clamp on device can be used. I don't recall=
the vendor of these. Any suggestions ?
4. Synthetic lead gas additives. I believe there are several on the
market. Has any one type been found to be better in MVs that the next ? =
=
Thanks in advance for answers to my basic questions.
