The MBT is refered to in TM9-2800 as "Trailer, Cargo, Amphibian, 1/4 Ton".
M100 and M416 were also floaters. There was also a trailer for the DUKW
and LVT (Landing Vehicle Tracked) that had a 2 1/2 ton paylaod and looked a
bit like a bass boat on wheels.

Anyone out there ever taken a trailer to sea? Imagine an M151 with fording
kit pulling an M416 in 4 feet of water. Trailer trying to float
precariously behind the Mutt which is firmly planted to the submerged
ground. Seems like trouble...
