Finally got one 52 M-37. Runs great except two minor items. Am looking
for advice.
1. Exhaust manifold has a crack in upper right hand corner near forward
bolt hole. (Sounds like a lawn boy)
Some of my "gear head buddies" say no problem welding it (cast iron
version) cracked 1/4-3/8" x 1 " long or would replacing be best ?
2. During transport back home the hand brake assembly thought it would be=
nice to engage at 35 mph. Needless to say is self destructed. (Major
laundry problem 2nd to really loud crash should)No damage except metal ha=
nd
brake plate gone and band broken. Upon inspection it appears as if it wa=
s
wired together only so-so. Question should this be a major gotta fix ite=
m
or if parked on level ground in gear be ok until "later"
Thanks for the advice.
