[MV] ....and it moved

After nearly a year and what seems like thousands of hours of labor, one
more green machine is back on the road. Last night, after spending the
whole weekend swapping transmissions and reconnecting linkages, cooling
lines, etc. I fired the M135's 302, and let it idle, filling the tranny
with fluid as the engine warmed up. With my son, nephew and of course the
dog, in the back, I shifted into reverse, and it went back. Just like it
was supposed to do. You have to remember, this is something that I have not
been accustomed to. We all cheered. I placed it into F-1, same thing, it
worked like it was supposed to. We drove around the yard for 15 to 20
minutes, checking all the gears in high and low. What a sense of relief.
Many thanks go to Bobby Joe Pendleton, Ken Weiss, Alan Bowes, and the other
mil-veh list responders. This forum is a fantastic tool that has proved to
be invaluable to me and I am sure others. Now it's on to the brakes.
Anyone know where I can find a booster rebuild kit?
Thanks,
Sean
