Generally, you'll find the door-mounted spare on 1958-and-onward M37B1 =
rigs.
However, a number of earlier M37s were retrofitted with the door-mount =
spare to provide more usable space in the bed. There was even a published =
technical document covering this retrofit kit. My 1954 M37 had this =
retrofit done, which included a weld-on reinforcement for the door post.
The serial number is stamped on the side of the left frame rail, ahead of =
the steering gearbox. If you want me to look up the number, I might be =
able to confirm the year of delivery to make sure that the title informatio=
n is correct.
