>Any information on converting an M-715 for rubicon would
be greatly appreciated (not that I'd actually do it.)

Robert,
I read a short article in one of the off-road-type magazines (can't remember
which one) within the last 6 months or so, that featured an M715 that was
rubicon-ized. I think the owner stayed with leaf springs, but had some
custom-made that allowed more articulation. Several other driveline and
suspension modifications were made as well, including putting the springs
over the axle tubes instead of under, I think. I don't believe I can be any
more vague than that!
Perhaps someone out there with a better memory than me, or better
organizational skills than me (I haven't thrown out a magazine in 15
years--I just can't find the ones I have) can help.
I admire your ambition (or ambitious thoughts, at least)--I'm still trying
to convert my truck for the road-icon.
