The discussion prompted me to look at the hummer web page, www.hummer.com,
and see if they came with tires mounted opposite on each side or if that
was some bright motorpool thing. The civilian version come with the
tread pattern facing opposite direction on drivers vs. passenger sides.
It does seem wierd but for $85K you can mount your tires however you want.
I do agree with the Austrailian gentleman that this is probable to make
all wheels interchangable.
