The Okanogan County Rural Fire District opened the bids for this vehicle last night (http://www.huguley.com/fdauct.htm). There were only 2 bids. The apparent winning bid was $805. I say apparent because the truck was improperly advertised. The truck was listed as a tanker, but as you can plainly see from the photos, it is a cab and chassis. The tank was removed before the bidding. The $805 bid came from out of town, and the fire commissioners were concerned that the bidder might have not been able to look at the truck before bidding. They are trying to contact the bidder.
If the apparent winner did not see the truck, the commissioners will likely re-advertise the truck correctly and start over.
I will keep you advised of developments. From the activity on my web site, I gather there was a lot of interest in seeing the truck, but apparently no one was brave (or foolish) enough to bid.
