I recently purchased a semi-restored Ferret M2/3. The interior was repainted
and all the dataplates, switchboard panel markings, smoke discharger markings,
etc. were covered over with a thick coat of paint.
I just discovered that the transmission had a nice brass plate with all sorts
of info about the transmission and rework dates. However, it was obliterated
by paint.
Any suggestions on how I can remove the paint and not the informaiton below
it?
I have tried paint stripper in small stages, using rags to soften and rub off
a fine layer at a time. But this is very tedious.
Thanks,
