Hello List,
Found out more info on my recent purchase:
has the Multi-fuel engine,
air shift front,
air/hydraulic brakes
15,110 miles/ 752 hrs.
Questions..... vehicle sat for two-three years... diesel that is in it is
that old. The former owner started it with this fuel in it. I haven't
replaced it yet, but am not running it until all fluids are changed as well
as filters. Do these engines normally smoke alot?? Mine is doing it, could
it be the old diesel?? Is 15,000 miles alot for this engine?? How about
the amount of hrs on it?? It does not appear to be leaking anything from
anywhere. I have closely watched for this. How easy/hard is it to drain out
the old fuel?? Should I just add fresh diesel instead (there is only about
10 gals of old diesel in tank)?? Where can I get rear bows and canvas for
this bear?? How much?
I plan on keeping it original US color, although I just saw a color
photo of a cool looking South African M-35. In 1969 color was straight
green,not camo correct??
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Fred NY
